Chinook Brings Illness

it might not be the direct fault of the current chinook, however there are some amazing virii running around central Alberta at the moment. I've been fighting off something for what seems like forever, and yesterday I honestly thought I had it beat. I enjoyed the day, the weather, risked a shower (when your hair takes hours - literally - to dry, it's a risk), and welcomed the day off from feeling shitty.

Sadly, when I woke up this morning, somewhere around the hour of 'oh shit' I was back to feeling like hell. Only this time, my throat was feeling dry and crackly. So, today has been spent battling a fever and catching up on some simplistic no brainer stuff. I'm not pushing it, going to give this another battle for all I am worth. I've watched others coughing up lungs all week... sounding like they were drowning upon the mucous build up. I don't want it, don't need it.

Hydrating, comfort food, plenty of rest... so if I don't get back here for tomorrow, it's because I'm either too exhausted from fighting off germs, or I lost the battle and have been overrun with icky illness.

Off to look after me!
